This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have suffered tremendously from the COVID-19 lack of in-person learning. They chose to sit and watch their phones and computers rather than get out and move. Movement and exercise stimulates positive endorphins for mental health and helps build healthy immune systems. Having pedometers will help encourage movement of my students because they can see in real time just how much they are actually moving. After moving, many students become sweaty and need personal hygiene to feel fresh and new to attend their academic classes and feel confident in their abilities to learn as their bodies and brains will be energized.
