Healthy Keiki Hygiene Project

My Project

We are requesting help in purchasing a changing table and toileting supplies for our students in classroom J201. The students in J201 have profound health and learning needs. Part of their health needs include toilet training as many of our students are in diapers and pull-ups. As care-givers the adults in J201 are frequently having to lift student who weigh up 60lbs. onto our current changing table in order to change them. The changing table being requested in this project is motorized and able to raise and lower with a push of a button. This will improve the work conditions for the adults in this classroom and help to ward of back injuries. The hands-on manipulative puzzles that are being requested will also offer our students an opportunity to engage in independent fine-motor development activities.
