My Project

This week a student came to me crying and said she didn't want to go to class. After a while of talking, she informed me she was sweating and needed deodorant. She didn't want to start smelling and the other students tease her. I searched my room for hygiene products and I was able to find ONE deodorant. Later that day another kid came to my room asking for the same. After speaking with the school nurse we learned a number of students have requested deodorant throughout the week. We are located in a city where the heat has reached 100+ degrees. Our students are becoming more self-aware of hygiene. With the resources I requested, I can help our students be confident enough with their hygiene to go into class and learn without the fear of being bullied.

There are many resources children need outside of the classroom that help them to be great students.

Aside from a healthy meal, a good night's rest, and a stable home environment, hygiene is also very important. As students age they become more in touch with their senses. They began to care about how they look and smell to themselves and to others. With the help of donors, I can assist our students with making sure they are their freshest selves and ready to learn!
