This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is able to provide all students with free breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately the students need to provide their own mid morning snack at recess. Some of the families of my students are unable to provide their children with a snack, so those students have to go from breakfast before school all of way to lunch without eating.
I do not want hunger to be a barrier to my students' success in school.
It can be very difficult to stay focused on your learning when you are hungry. I would like to provide the opportunity for my students to have a healthy snack each day to help with their focus and ability to learn.
