My Students

Should I choose the extra value meal or a salad? Why? I want to educate my students on the value of healthy eating.

My students are full of energy and possess a love for learning.

I want them to be aware that the eating choices they make today will impact their future. Healthy eating is important for children as it helps them maintain a healthy weight, improves concentration and increases their chances of doing well at school. Healthy eating gives them the required nutrients to help form strong teeth and bones and also protect them from diseases.

My Project

I am requesting two student books about food choices and a teacher's guide on how to instruct students about healthy eating. I am also requesting an iPad mini so my amazing students can research the vitamin and mineral content of different fruits and vegetables. There are also apps that help students understand the food pyramid.

I want my students to maintain a healthy weight and improve their concentration.

I want to give them access to information about healthy eating and a healthy life style. The books and technology that I am requesting will help educate students on making healthy choices now and in the future.
