This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help strengthen students' bodies and minds.

Strength and resistance training is one of the most applicable forms of exercise that students can utilize throughout their entire life.

Teens at our school have asked for equipment to strength train to improve sports performance, treat or prevent injuries, or improve appearance. Strength and resistance training can strengthen not only muscles, but students' bones, help promote healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels, help students maintain a healthy weight, and improve students' confidence and self-esteem. Learning these skills will not only help them right now, but it is a life skill that they can continue to use throughout their adult lives.
