This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our wellness center goal is to enhance students' mental health and academic performance by providing snacks during difficult times. Snacks help reduce stress and anxiety, which balance mood. Additionally, snacks offer sustained energy, and helps stabilize mood that prevents fatigue thereby supporting overall well-being and effective learning.
Our center also offers one-on-one check-in meetings with students dealing with social-emotional concerns.
Offering snacks before or after meetings allows students' to feel cared for, comfortable and supported, which allows students to to seek help when needed and keep them engaged during meetings.
