Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are WILD about learning, but access to specific materials to aid in their learning process is scarce. The school is located in a high poverty, needy area in the New York. Because of such poverty and need, the majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch, and our school is categorized as Title I. Please help my students work towards their learning goals by providing whatever you can. Your generous donations will help enhance student achievement in my classroom. My Project

As expected, children are prone to becoming tired when their school day is filled with many learning activities. When my students appear tired, rambunctious and/or lethargic, I know that a "pick me up" snack is necessary! When basic needs, such as hunger, are met, children are more likely to power through their remaining daily tasks. If children remain hungry, then daily, achievable tasks become impossible. As I mentioned in my BIO, I teach in a neighborhood of high poverty and need. Unfortunately, obtaining a substantial meal outside of school may be difficult for these children. By providing them with an abundance of healthy snacks throughout the day, my students will be more likely to stay nourished and healthy!
