This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a wide range of abilities and capabilities within my classroom. This classroom setting is a self-contained room. This means that most of my students come to me because they are behind grade level curriculum and have learning disabilities that impede their learning in a regular setting.
My classroom has a creative and fun atmosphere that supports each and every child's needs and abilities.
They are allowed to be themselves and discover what and how they learn best, despite our challenges and hindrances.
My Project
My students are learning about the importance of keeping our environment clean. As the change in weather causes a lot of colds and flu-like symptoms to manifest. My students are learning about the immune system and how wiping their desks and supplies on a daily basis can prevent illnesses from entering the body or spreading.
These materials will help improve the cleanliness of our class room by eliminating germs from communal surfaces.
Everything in our class is touched by every student several times. I would like to give my students plenty of opportunities and supplies to maintain their health.
It is important for my students to not only learn how to keep in good health with safe practices like sanitizing but to see it model by adults safely.
