My Project
We recently competed in the Utah state Health Occupation Student Association (HOSA) leadership conference and had approximately 10 students place in the top 10 within our state and I feel as though through having a textbook library we can have more students place within those events. This project involves creating a collection of textbooks, study guides, and other educational resources to develop well-rounded knowledge of a given subject. By offering access to these resources, the textbook library helps level the playing field for our students, many of whom may face financial barriers to purchasing expensive textbooks.
We have developed a needs assessment, and have started collecting old textbooks from parents.
In this project are a few of the textbooks we are needing to add to our collection of books. Ultimately, a HOSA textbook library fosters academic success, encourages collaboration, and alleviates the financial burdens many students face. It serves as an important tool for empowering future healthcare professionals, ensuring they have the resources they need to excel in their studies and ultimately contribute to improving public health outcomes.
