Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A majority, more than half, of the students at my school come from low socio-economic status and receive free or reduced-price lunches. We are a Title 1 school. We have over 800 students at our school. Some of our students are new to the country and might not have ever been in a school setting. I am a Math/Science/Social Studies teacher.

My students want to learn and are always looking forward to project-based learning.

I teach 4th-grade students that have been identified as Gifted students. This group of students requires a more challenging and rigorous educational experience. These students are generally made up of students that have performed on the higher end of standardized assessments. It has been a learning experience and we are all learning through these hard times. My students have worked hard, want to, and are willing to learn.

My Project

We are still dealing with a global pandemic and to help prevent students from getting sick and missing school. I am able to maintain a clean and healthy environment for my students. They will have antibacterial to wash their hands with. I will be able to conitnuously santize their desks and the classroom.

I am also able to have a supply of face masks if students need.

Many times my student have a broken or dirty mask. The tissue will provide students with something to clean their nose with instead of their hands or clothes.

This will keep us all safe and healthy.
