Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting therapy games that can be used in family sessions in order to build trust and connection while promoting a sense of safety. These resources and therapeutic games will help promote family connectedness. As a mental health therapist, I process trauma with my students which is not always comfortable for them. Using these discussion card games can help break the ice and promote more meaningful discussion.

Some of my goal include for parents to be able to provide emotional support and allow their children to be vulnerable.

I also want my students to feel comfortable expressing themselves with their family members. Students need strong relationships with parents to feel safe and secure as they meet the challenges of adolescence. Knowing that parents love and support them gives students the ability to strengthen relationships, promote psychological well-being, and help them express their feelings.
