My Project

My students have just been through a hurricane and its aftermath. Our town, our school, our communities are in the process of healing. I want to bring that healing into my classroom in the form of arts and crafts, so that my students feel joy in being together with their class family by creating some fun and beautiful crafts.

The fall and winter seasons are coming up and what better way to celebrate them than by decorating autumn crafts and painting gingerbread houses?

My students are happiest when they can work together on hands-on projects, chatting and laughing at jokes. That's exactly what they need right now to feel safe, secure, and stable. Art therapy will bring much-needed healing to my class.
