Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my self-contained special education classroom, there is a community of learners of diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and grade levels. They are kind, resilient, and exceptional students interested in a wide range of activities from urban planning to basketball.

Your gift will give my students the opportunity to easily focus on learning instead of the noises and distractions at home or in school and computer mice to better access digital content.

The students in my special education class have mild to moderate intellectual, cognitive, and physical disabilities. Our class is made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students. Each student is unique, creating a diverse group of learners in my class with varying interests, strengths, abilities, and learning styles.

As a special education teacher, I work every day to find solutions and resources to help develop my students' academic, communication, and social skills while keeping them safe from COVID-19.

My Project

One of the best ways to improve the learning environment at home or at school is through the use of headphones. The headsets will help block out noise and makes them focus on the sounds coming out of the headphones, will be utilized as hearing aids that stream audio directly from the teacher’s microphone. Additionally, my students are asking for your help in getting computer mice to aid students with motor-function difficulties. Please help my students stay focused with headphones and make their learning more accessible with computer mice. Even the smallest donation will help us reach our goal!
