My Students

My class is a class of 32 enthusiastic learners who come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. The majority of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch, and many of them have already experienced homelessness at some point in their lives. Our classroom is our home away from home. We all come together as a community for lessons and fun activities. However, our resources are limited. We are in need of tools to help meet the needs of each individual learner in our classroom.

In our classroom, we are one big family, and we are part of a larger school community.

Some students struggle with daily academic skills, especially those students who find traditional learning activities difficult or who are learning English as their second language. My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and it is important to celebrate the diversity that exists within our classroom. It is essential that my students learn to understand and celebrate their differences and similarities and to be respectful of other cultures, races, genders, and ideologies.

My Project

This year we are facing another uncertain year and are unsure of what learning will look like with the emergence of the Delta variant of Covid-19. Learning will likely be a mix of in person as well as distance learning. My students will likely be engaging in learning digitally using Google Classroom and Zoom.

These headphones will help my students engage during remote learning while using their iPads both in school and at home.

Each student will have their own individual set of headphones to stay safe from germs and bacteria. They will keep one at home and one in school so that they will have the tools they need no matter what learning looks like.
