My Students

Do you have trouble adjusting to change? My students are coping the best they can with a countless number of changes to their home and school lives as a result of SuperStorm Sandy.

My class is currently made up of 45 third grade students in one classroom at a host school in New York City.

They are trying so very hard to deal with all of the life changes they have had after the storm. We are still unable to return to our school, and there is no return date in sight as of yet. So we are making do with the minimal resources we have and constantly thinking about ways to make it just bit easier for these kids.

My Project

If we had a projector that we could connect to my school laptop, my students would be able to view their math lessons the way they are used to seeing them. The entire class would have the Internet and all of its resources at their fingertips. All would be able to see the images on the laptop and participate more fully in class. We could also connect the projector to a document camera and display textbooks and other literature, and even student work for all to see and examine.

Your donations to this project would benefit 45 students that were devastated in their homes and at their school.

They will provide these children with a sense of normalcy they have not felt for over a month. You can help get their lives back to normal.
