My Students

I teach second grade at a public school located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York. I have the cutest group of children. They are all so special in there own special ways. We are a Title I school, and most of the children come from low-income, non-English speaking homes. Many of them come to school just to have a meal and someone to actually care about them.

Things we often take for granted are often hard for my students to get.

I'm looking for ways for the children to get a better understanding and a love for school.

My Project

These headphones will make it easier for my children to stay focused and not be distracted when learning remotely from inside their homes.

Many of my students live in a one bedroom apartment, with their parents, siblings, grandparents, and other family members.

We can all hear a baby crying, or mommy on the phone. It might even be mom catching up on the news. These headphones will help the children focus on what I am teaching them, and not what's going on around them. They only thing they will hear is what I am saying and teaching them.
