Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative and curious about learning! Some of their favorite ways of learning is hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think and find solutions! My students are enthusiastic about learning and come to school each day ready to try new things as they are courageous by taking brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. My students are my inspiration!

Many of my students are struggling with distance learning as they lack the tools and resources necessary to complete their assignments.

Our school is nestled in an area surrounded by housing projects. Many of our families are struggling financially, especially during this pandemic.

Each child in my classroom has a passion for learning, their modality and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. Using a variety of learning strategies, synchronous and asynchronous, group work, and and learning options helps ensure each student's needs are met. I am looking forward to starting the school year ready to provide rich lessons to my students!

My Project

These headphones will help my students stay focused with eliminating distractions around them. With distance learning happening in our homes, oftentimes, there are multiple children in the same household, and the extra noises will distract my students. Teaching children with Special Needs, it is important to make this experience as pleasant as possible with the tools necessary to help them succeed.

My students will be more engaged and excited about learning.

They will be able to listen attentively, participate, and be focused.
