They are eager explorers wanting to know more about the world around them. They are at the age where everything is interesting and they want to know more about everything. The main question they always ask is why? They are very playful and outgoing and love to come to school and hate for the weekend to come, because they will be away from their friends and teachers, their home away from home.
Our students live by the DRIVE (Determination, Respect, Integrity, Voice and Engagement) Values.
My Project
My students need headphones for our tablets to help us stay focused during our literacy groups. Each of my students use our tablets daily for at least 30 minutes. During this time they are working on the tablets to help them with phonics and reading comprehension when they don't have headphones they get distracted by the other students who are reading with the teacher or students who are independently reading. The noise level can get very loud in our classroom and these headphones will help our students stay focused. When they are able to pay attention they learn so much more.
