Headphones to Increase Comprehension

My Project

Headphones allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. If students are given their own headphones during independent ELA workshop time, they will be able to independently practice fluencies on Google Read Along and Epic (to have books read to them) and practice researching on their Chromebooks.

Researching animal biomes and adaptations is a huge part of 2nd grade.

In addition, students are using a software program called Lexia Core 5. This software has been shown to increase their reading skills, vocabulary, and comprehension.
