My Students

Inquisitive and energetic as a group. Creative and engaging as individuals. My sixth grade and fourth grade ELA students keep me on my toes, but it's a dance, and dancing is fun!

With such dynamic energy at play, we need some tools to help us increase our focus.

My students come from many different backgrounds and have diverse needs as learners. Lessons are developed to accommodate the individual skill level of students while targeting their strengths and weaknesses as learners.

Somehow it all comes together on the dance floor! Each student brings their unique perspective and inquiry to learning in order to be a choreographer of their own education. I am honored to be part of the process.

My Project

School wide, we dedicate class time to the use of a computer program that is designed to target student strengths and weakness in the core subjects of Mathematics and ELA. The program is responsive to each students successes and difficulties and provides digital lessons and content specific to each student.

With 30+ dynamic learners all working on individual lessons, it can sometimes be hard for them to focus.

At times the noises of their neighbors activity can distract students from their own goals.

Headphones are useful tool to help each student get the most out of the time they spend using class computers to work on their own goals.
