Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of 27 wonderful students who are learning to read and use technology. Due to the pandemic, we have not been able to meet in person but I am meeting with them via Zoom everyday. My students have so much potential and are missing some key resources. We are a Title I school and all of our students receive free meals throughout the day.
My Project
Many of my students live in homes with multiple siblings who are also attending class via Zoom. It is challenging for my students to focus in class because of the background noise that inevitably comes with their situation. This pandemic has forced my students to learn from home and in order for them to be successful I feel they all need headphones at home. They will be able to hear me as I am doing lessons and because they have an embedded microphone, I will be able to hear them when they participate.
