My Students
I have been a classroom teacher for twenty six years and have had the opportunity to teach so many wonderful students. I have always taught in grades K-2 and that is where my heart is happiest! Every day brings a new and exciting adventure--I leave school every day feeling inspired by all the learning and growing that has happened in our classroom!
I have nineteen students in my classroom who are growing up in a world that is constantly developing new and exciting advancements in technology.
When entering kindergarten, students have a variety of exposure levels to schooling. Kindergarten teachers are not only tasked with teaching the rigorous Common Core Standards, but they are also responsible for teaching children how to live day to day in the classroom and how to appropriately use and balance the use of technology to enhance their learning.
My Project
These headphones would make such a difference in my classroom! The headphones would give my students the ability to use technology throughout the school day, without having to share headphones with other classrooms or go without. My students do not currently have headphones and to give them each a pair of their own to use in the classroom would be amazing!

My students are expected to access digital learning tools such as on iReady and SeeSaw on a regular basis. Currently, without headphones, my students have to use these tools with the sound on, which can become very distracting to the classroom. With these headphones, my students will be able to utilize these programs without disrupting the learning of their peers
