My Students

I teach an enclosed special needs classroom which focuses on early learning. The majority of my students are working at the PreK to 2nd grade level. We work in groups and also individually using technology. I want to integrate more technolgy into their curriculum for their future benefit.

My Project

These headphones with a mic will help my students learn to use speech to text. This will help my special needs students function in our current society. The headphones will help my students begin to master life skills that will benefit them throughout their lifetime. Understanding how to communicate using headphones with a mic to dictate for them will increase the success rate for my special needs students. The ability to get a job sometimes relies on understanding how to fit into the job position using different ways of communication, such as headphones for dictation. Employers looking to employ special needs adults will benefit from special needs individuals who already have a grasp on how to use dictation software for communication.
