My Students

My students are inquisitive, hard-working, and joyful. In our classroom, we find many opportunities to learn and grow together.

Although my students experience a variety of hardships outside of my classroom, they come to class each day ready to learn and interact with their peers in meaningful ways.

They are not defined by their struggles. My students are thoughtful, creative, and passionate. We support and encourage each other as we become the best versions of ourselves. Each day brings new challenges and adventures that we navigate together.

I would like to give my students as many opportunities as possible to facilitate their growing love for learning, reading, and each other. My students are truly incredible, and I am so lucky to be able to work with them as they transition from middle to high school.

My Project

Many students are visual and auditory learners. Providing headphones for my students will allow me to cater to their strengths and create more opportunities for student-centered, independent exploration, practice, research, and more. Students often struggle to hear and fully comprehend audio or video that we interact with as a class. A class set of headphones will allow students to view (and review) these resources independently. Students who do not immediately comprehend the material would be able to listen to it again. Students who need to revisit something in the material would be able to do so without calling attention to themselves.

Giving students the opportunity to interact with video and audio will amplify their learning, engagement, and mastery of material. These will be a great resource for my students!
