This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! I am a first-year second-grade teacher in a Title I school in Bushwick, Brooklyn. As part of our curriculum students engage in learning online daily which makes headphones extremely important. Many students in my class are unable to afford headphones or unable to bring headphones to school. Without working headphones, it is extremely difficult for my students to concentrate and complete their assigned online activities.

Help me give my students a noise-free independent learning experience and comfortable learning experience!

The use of headphones will help students engage in their independent work without distractions. With your donation, our students will be able to have better headphones, of their own, to use so they can complete more work and learn even better. They are so smart and fast learners and can achieve so much.

The LEGO bricks will also be used as a part of our cool-down corner where students can go for time to themselves for a break or when they are feeling overwhelmed.

The dividers will help students during tests. This year we focus on the importance of testing and staying focused to prepare students for state exams. These dividers will help students concentrate along with removing the process of physically dividing their desks before tests.

With your help, this one item will make such a huge positive impact in education. My class and I greatly appreciate it!
