Headphones for Math

My Project

My Project

Technology is an everyday reality in our classrooms now.

Whether is in math class watching a step-by-step video, ELA listening to a story while following along with the test, Language Arts listening to spoken dialogue or songs, history watching a video clip, or listening to a report or primary source... It's in every classroom.

Listening is a fundamental skill.

In Math class, my students have the opportunity to partake in independent learning. Often this looks like watching math videos or playing math games. Having 20-30 computers with their sound on at the same time is... not ideal. It is especially important for many of my students who are still more than two or three years below grade level. Hearing the directions, problems, and explanations spoken aloud positively impacts their learning speed.

Unfortunately, our classroom's headphone situation has gotten dire. Through wear-and-tore or simply lending out to never see again, we have less than 7 functioning headphones. With your help, I can give my students the gift of audible learning again.
