Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the modern world of education, technology has become an important part of the classroom. Technology tends to be a motivating factor for many of our students. Technology can motivate, drive, and enhance student learning; and, it is most powerful when it works in combination with other tools to ensure accessibility for students. Our students work hard on online assignments across content areas, but some of these assignments require students to listen to information and prompts on their devices.

In our district, we are thrilled to have great interactive online tools for enhancing classroom learning and helping students develop skills based on their individual learning needs; these headphones will help us to truly get the most out of our online learning platforms!

The materials requested in this project will help ensure my students are able to efficiently and effectively participate in and complete their online work. Headphones will not only allow access to content on devices, but they will also increase overall focus in the classroom for students on their assignments. This increase in concentration will also help maintain a focused learning environment during independent work time which runs concurrently with small group instruction.

The headphones donated through this project will help my students access important learning tools and increase motivation and focus at school. With these headphones, my students will gain access to the increasingly technological world while also learning how to use technology responsibly as the powerful tool it can be in education and beyond.
