Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Headphones are used in my class daily at different times. After every math lesson, students engage in math centers. One of the math centers they go to is a technology station. Having a technology station is one of the ways I can differentiate instruction. Various educational platforms that we use in class offer adaptive learning modules that adjust the pace and content based on a student's progress.

Headphones enable students to access lessons at their "just-right" instructional level without disturbing others.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their math work and less disruptive of their peers when they are using headphones to access math content at their level.

In addition, I have a large population of English Language Learners. Language learning often involves listening and pronunciation exercises. Headphones enable students to practice speaking and listening without disturbing others and can provide a more immersive learning experience.

Headphones are a great learning tool that allows students to focus more and access math lessons at their level.
