My students need headphones in order to access learning apps in the Ipad, including Dreambox and RAZ Kids. We are a few set short of a class set.

My Students

Our classroom is full of vibrant 7 and 8 year olds! They start the day ready to learn by "playing" on Dreambox and RAZ Kids. What they don't know is that the math games and fun reading passages with questions are helping them grow leaps and bounds!

Our class is simply amazing!

All children in our school have access to free lunch due to the high number of low income families that attend. Out of 23 students, I have 4 who are classified as homeless. Despite uncertainties in life, my students come to school ready to work and learn with their "family." I work to provide them a place to take risks and to be able to learn and grown with confidence. They believe they CAN and WILL succeed!

My Project

My students will use the headphones to listen to stories or math problems being read out loud on Dreambox, RAZ Kids, and other ipad apps. The students feel they are just playing math games or listening to fun stories. In reality, they are mastering grade level skills and making growth! The headphones will allow students to work on these apps at their own pace. They will be able to listen to and view tutorials when they have trouble. They will also be able to listen to a story being read and build comprehension for books that are outside their independent reading levels.

Your donation will help not just this class, but future classes access the ever growing number of quality educational apps available in a modern classroom.

I will be able to have some students working and learning on ipads while I pull small groups for targeted instruction. The headphones will allow students to access all aspects of the apps without disturbing their neighbors.
