Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the best in the city! They are curious and thoughtful and love exploring new ideas. They are self-motivated and are always ready to discover new things. My students are articulate and have amazing conversations in class.

I teach at a Title I school in New York where most of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Despite the hardships they face at home, my students are always eager to learn about the world they live in. They amaze me daily.

My Project

I am asking for a class set of headphones and a Lenovo IdeaPad for the new class that will be returning in the fall.

Although we are all returning to in person learning this fall, technology will still be a huge part of our daily class culture.

Our school has invested in online programs that will be used for assessment as well as individualized lessons for students based on their needs. The headphones will come in handy as students will be completing assignments that differ from their peers. The laptop will be used as a tool to monitor students as they take these assessments and complete those lessons.
