Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classes are full of African American and Latino preteens who are smart, curious, and love to take on the challenge of learning new and interesting things. As they prepare themselves for successful futures, it is imperative that they have materials that would provide them with access to compete against their peers.

As we know media and technology is the way of the world and many of my students are already well versed on the basics of using technology.

Having a plethora of technology tools and devices in the classroom, at their fingertips will help them combine the skills they already have with the knowledge they are acquiring and truly become advocates of change. The headphones, microphones, and floor cushions will help my transform my classroom library into a mini media center where my students can create things like podcasts, tutorials, and news reports to broadcast and publish their fiction and non fiction literacy work.
