Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a Specific Learning Disability classroom, meaning I have a wide range of students with learning disabilities. With that being said I have a large number of students who find auditory learning incredibly useful. They gather information most effectively by listening and then discussing new concepts. Through the use of classroom headphones, it will be possible for me to help ensure my students can access this style of learning and ensure it benefits them. Using headphones will also ensure that different students can learn in the way that suit their needs. We use tablets in the classroom for independent group assignments that allow them to listen, see, and speak on an activity. My students currently have earphones that are uncomfortable and have even broken. Classroom headphones will also ensure that learning is more fun, exciting, and engaging for my students. This starts with the choice of headphones themselves.
