This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This upcoming year will be another year where students will continue to need their own supplies. I am requesting headphones for each student in my class. Our school has different programs that help support students' learning. We use IReady, Razkids, EPIC books, and google classroom. In order for students to stay focused and engage in their online activities, they need headphones. They will use it for IReady, Razkids, EPIC books and they will be able to stay focused and read their leveled books independently and engage in their online lessons without distractions. They will also benefit from a new listening center with new books to read along. The books on CDs narrates the story word for word. The students follow along, and they develop listening comprehension, fluency and more. They will master the skills they need for independent reading.
As a teacher, I am hoping to help minimize these distractions at school by hopefully providing each child with headphones and new books to help develop their reading skills.
