Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very visual learners and work best when given opportunities to learn through visual aids. They come to school each day eager to learn and participate. They love hands-on activities and these learning opportunities allow them to explore and investigate mathematical concepts. Through the use of technology I am best able to meet my students needs and engage them in their learning. They are willing to take chances and be more involved in their learning when they are engaged.

Our class is filled with wonderful energetic students who come to school each day ready to learn.

They come from many different backgrounds and each day we come together to form an inclusive learning environment where students are progressing and making great academic gains. Each student in my classroom loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best varies tremendously. Throughout the day I work with the students to best meet their needs. I am very fortunate to work with such inspiring students who want to learn and I know that offering them new opportunities will excite them. I want to continue to make math both fun and meaningful for my students. My students love when a lesson involves technology and their level of participation increases greatly. It also allows them to make more connections to the real world. Through the use of classroom headphones I am better able to differentiate assignments and have students working at their own levels without distractions to others. The use of headphones enables a student to work independently while I work with other students during small group and center time. My very visual and auditory learners benefit greatly when working on technology and this project will continue to help them.
