This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Headphones for first graders are an integral part of learning. As part of our learning centers and our intervention time students need headphones to be able to complete their targeted computerized learning. Headphones are also very important to be able to drown out distractions.

In my class we have had to use last year’s headphones and are now short a few for a full class set.

That means that we need to share headsets or use the tablets without headphones.

A new set of headphones would be a welcome addition to our classroom. One third of my class is composed of English language learners. These are students who couldn’t believe they would be getting their own tablet to use in the classroom. They are eager to learn but also very careful. I plan on labeling each set of headphones and using the bags so we can protect them when they are not in use.

The hanging files will be used so we can organize them by number. I have crates that fit the hanging folders and where we will be storing the headphones. This will allow for a neater classroom.
