My Project

My 3rd grade students are amazing. Each day we use our computers for Raz-Kids (a leveled reading program) and iReady Math, and sometimes students listen to books that I assign to them. In addition, they take some high stakes testing such as iStation and the iReady diagnostic on their computers. All of these speak to the students through their laptop. The problem is that our headphones either do not work or are broken. So, students are all listening to things at the same time and can have a hard time hearing and focusing on their task at hand.

If each student had their own set of headphones that work, the room would be quiet and everyone could focus on listening to their own assignments.

I also believe we could have better test scores as kids would be able to focus better. The shoe organizer will be used to store the headphones in, so that we can take good care of them.

Also, whiteboards and markers are used frequently in the class. Our class is borrowing some from another teacher and they are not in very good condition. It would be great if we had our own class set. We also use dry erase markers with page protectors to practice our multiplication and write words on the table. It seems that they are always drying out and needing replacement. Our class sure appreciates any help you can give!
