My Students

I have the best class ever! My students come from low-income areas with very diverse backgrounds. Many are new to the country and/or English language learners. My students work hard and have big goals! Due to different circumstances, families are not always able to provide materials needed. I believe, regardless of your social status, you deserve a good education! So, as their teacher, it is my mission to help supply them with what they need to be successful in 4th grade and beyond.

My Project

We need a reliable class set of headphones. Headphones enable students to use classroom technology for differentiated and individualized learning.

Additionally, the Logitech headphones are required for English Language Learners who take WIDA language assessments.

These students also use Imagine Learning every day. This is a computer/iPad based program that teaches content area English vocabulary. The program is bi-lingual in the students native language and English. Students need the headphones and microphones to listen to and record their learning. Students will be able to be independent while using Imagine learning with the headphones/microphones. Each student will have their own headphone/microphone to work towards their goal of learning English. The headphones/microphones will also minimize the distractions from the classroom.
