Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

HBGS is a Title I school in the Bronx. Our students have had a lot to contend with this school year. With schools closing and opening, they have been transitioning in and out of remote learning like champions. We are all so proud of their perseverance and flexibility during this time.

With more than half of our students working 100% remotely this whole year, I wanted to stock the school store to provide students with a morale boost!

Students will be able to remotely shop at our school store to use their points. I want to be able to provide a range of things they may need or items that are fun.

My Project

These supplies will help re-stock our school store. Students have been in and out of the building all year due to the pandemic. As we are hopefully turning a corner students will remain in the building and want to use their school points for prizes/rewards they are excited about! The school store has been lacking this year due to budget cuts and shipping delays. This project would mean that we can provide rewards for students that they can use within the school and/or at home whether it is snacks or a cool speaker!
