My Project

As black history month is approaching it is now time for our schools Black History Month program. The students in fourth grade will be researching and presenting on Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the United States.

As an HBCU alum myself I feel this is a very important opportunity for students to learn and become aware of HBCUs and what they stand for as they are not common in the Midwest.

My students will use these materials to create poster boards on the HBCU they choose to present on in front of their friends and families at the end of February.
