My Project

Kindergarten is a big transition for kids! The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will help them build their Social and Emotional Learning skills. My students are in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom, which means some students have an IEP and need a little extra support and guidance. The materials and supplies in this project will help all the students build their social skills by allowing them to learn how to initiate and respond to peers, listen and follow directions, take turns and share, communicate their wants and needs, as well as learn how to be a supportive and kind friend.

Developing social skills is an important part of the lives of young children.

This project will help the students build a variety of social skills through play activities and peer modeling. These are life long skills the students need. We've noticed students do not play board games or group games anymore and want to incorporate this into our weekly learning activities.
