Having Fun With Biology!

My Project

Science education is most impactful when students can actively engage with experiments that connect concepts to real-world applications. The materials I’m requesting—a mini refrigerator, hand warmers, and ice—will be essential tools for conducting a thermoregulation lab that brings biology to life.

My primary goal is to create an engaging, hands-on learning experience that deepens my students’ understanding of biology.

This lab will also provide them with the opportunity to ask questions, test hypotheses, and reflect on their findings—mirroring the work of real scientists.

My students are a dynamic, diverse group of young scientists who thrive when given the opportunity to learn through experience. Regardless of outside factors, my students show up eager to learn and are excited by science. Providing them with high-quality lab experiences like this one will not only nurture their passion for science but also allow them to work collaboratively in a group and foster their critical thinking skills.
