My Students

My students have been working very hard at home to not only complete their work but to also take care of their siblings and basically be a teacher to them as well.

This is a very scary time but living in NYC, these kids are exposed to so much more on such a more serious level.

My students are scared and just want to come back to school and just like everyone, be normal again! All of their things are still left where they left them in their lockers so many of my kids don't have simple things like notebooks, markers, and pencils.

My Project

After completing the last 3 months of Remote Learning with my 6th and 7th graders I quickly learned the importance of not only including technology in my lessons but more importantly including ENGAGING activities.

While kids are at home it is imperative that I provide lessons that will not only teach them but more importantly Engage them and have them want to come back.

I can send work everyday, but if students don't feel like they are learning anything or actually ENJOY it, they will not complete the work.

Teachers Pay Teachers provides fun, interactive Math tasks that they can use whether we are in or out of school. If we are in school, students will need to be distanced apart and will need to complete tasks on their iPads. Therefore with these gift cards I can provide engaging activities to my students whether we are in person or virtual.
