Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I LOVE reading to my students. The looks on their faces when we dive into a good book is in my mind daily.

My classroom needs chapter books.

My students are in different reading stages. Some of my students are learning to read, others are decoding or transiting, and the rest are fluent readers. My fluent readers are ready to jump into reading chapter books. They need chapter books that are engaging. Our classroom library needs chapter books or series that are fun and entertaining to read. We would love to have more of Brad Meltzer's biographies to read and many others.

These books will allow us to practice the skills that we have learned and they will also help us become fluent readers. Learning to read is an opportunity that should be provided to every child.

These books will allow my students to have longer books and more practice with words and stories that match their individual reading abilities. The books will help foster a life long love of reading and allow my students to be successful.

These books will engage my students and will provide hours of enjoyment. Thank you for all your kindness, support, and dedication to education!
