My Students

The experience of listening to your favorite story on CD while holding the book in your hand is so amazing.

My school is in one of the lowest income areas in the San Fernando Valley and my preschoolers love to come to school.

School is a place where they know they will be kept comfortable and safe. They know that they will be receiving a hot meal and be able to explore and have fun learning.

My Project

My preschoolers love all of the lessons and centers that I have created in our classroom, but they especially enjoy story time. Story time is a moment for them to sit quiet and lose themselves in the book and let their imaginations go wild. In addition it is such a wonderful lesson for my second language learners to hear a story being read by a fluent English speaking adult.

With a listening center available in the room, they can go and sit down with their favorite stories and hear them again and again.

They will be able to look at the illustrations up close while listening to the story. It would be such an enriching experience.
