My Students

I teach 2nd grade in a public school that has a diverse population. Most of the students in our school come from low income families. My twenty 2nd grade students work hard, are excited to learn new things, and all learn in a variety of ways.

I want to provide my second graders with all of the resources they need to be successful.

I want to provide my students with resources to work with them in small groups, and to help keep them and our classroom organized.

My Project

This project will provide my students with Math board games to help them learn and practice telling time, counting money, adding, subtracting, place value, and identifying shapes.

This project will also provide my students with English Language Arts board games to help them learn and practice using context clues, reading and comprehending literature, and reading and comprehending informational text.

These games will be great to use with small groups of students during our Math and Reading groups. They will be a fun way to reinforce the 2nd grade standards I teach my students.
