My Students

My students are smart, curious, creative, funny, hardworking, and friendly towards one another. My 19 students represent families all over the world, as well as a variety of learning levels. My school consists of about 1,000 students of diverse backgrounds. This can make teaching challenging because of the diverse learning abilities, but my students are always eager to learn. My students continually face obstacles head on and continually strive to do better. Their drive and passion for learning is amazing!

My Project

In first grade a lot of time is spent on the floor. My students are eager, energetic, and curious learners. Each day we complete whole group activities, small group activities, and independent activities on the floor. Currently, space in my classroom is limited. I would like to maximize the amount of learning space my students have by giving them clear defined areas. A classroom carpet will help create learning boundaries that help my students thrive.

In order to accommodate the need of all my students, I would like to create a cozy environment that is conducive to learning.

Creating a healthy learning environment will create a positive learning climate and culture. Limited space in my classroom can make learning challenging at times. Minimizing distractions will optimize students learning and growth.
