My Students

Wonderful, diverse, and driven are three adjectives I would use to describe my students! Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with a majority of our students receiving free lunch. Despite so many hardships my students are still eager to learn.

My kindergarten classroom is a place of challenge and discovery.

Students spend the year in constant motion of daily routines. They work hard during reading, writing, math, social studies and science activities. They are eager to learn!

Transitions between centers and organization of materials have proved to be big challenges in the past that I hope to ease this year. Organized students equals successful students!

My Project

Gone are the days where students have their own desk with storage space. We promote a collaborative environment where students work together at tables.

Currently, my students do not have anywhere to store their supplies.

While they do their best to store things on their desk, they are kindergarten students and it often becomes messy. With less distraction from clutter, we will be able to focus on learning.

With your help, these seat pockets will improve transitioning between activities and promote organization. Students will store their independent materials, dry erase board, and Writing Workshop folders so that they can have easy access to them. Using seat pockets will help my students succeed.
