My Project

My students are from the Miami-Dade district and they come from a wide variety of diverse households and cultures. We have students that have emotional trauma, mental health issues, and even those with physical ailments. We strive hard every day to make every single one of these great kids feel 100% accepted and welcomed into our program.

Several of our students have major anxiety issues that prevent them from active participation and engagement in the classroom but we do everything in our power to let them know that we are a safe environment for them.

Many of our students like to sit in our quiet "Zen Zone" we have set up for them to just sit and practice their mindfulness.

We need 1 massage recliner. These will help students calm down, reduce their anxiety, and use their mindfulness techniques to lower their stress levels. The warmth and gentle massage will help soothe their nerves and help them to relax in a classroom environment. These types of chairs have been shown to melt away tensions and anxiety. We want to help our students in every way possible.
