This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would love a class set of the book Hatchet to build my novel study choices for my class. Reading levels are low and I’d love to be able to read aloud in whole group with my class to be able to access great novels throughout the school year.
My goal is to increase the reading comprehension and critical thinking in my students who otherwise struggle and do not love to read.
By accessing the novel in whole group I am able to scaffold and meet my students' needs.
The students in my class are eager to learn and are beginning to believe in themselves.
